The Marine Corps League High Desert Detachment #762 has a NEW LOCATION!  Our Toys For Tots Program will be operating out of 973 West William AVE , Fallon, NV 89406.    

 


The Local Impact

The Marine Corps League High Desert Detachment #762 has been the host/sponsor of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program for the last 30+ years in Fallon. Our campaign has traditionally covered Churchill, Lyon and Pershing counties but in recent years our campaign has helped underpriviledged children in other counties, that do not have a Marine Corps or Toys For Tots presence, but contacted the nearest campoaign for help. We have received requests from as far as Elko, Ely, Winnemucca, Lovelock, Yearington, Hawthorne and every town in between, effectively doubling the numbers of request for toys than in recent years. It has been our mission, just like on the battlefield to not leave a Marine behind, to ensure that we don't leave a child behind at Christmas. Our volunteers have logged countless miles and hours to help those less fortunate than ourselves, even delivering toys to children on Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning so they can feel the joy, hope and happiness with their families because "Every child deserves a little Christmas."

The Marine Toys for Tots Program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December and distributes them to less fortunate children. These toys make a tremendous difference in the lives of the children and families that receive them.
 
 The toys distributed are not only viewed as a simple gift, but also brings joy, happiness, and hope to the children in need. Hope is the key, and hope is what the Marine Corps is able to give through the Toys for Tots program. A message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.


2024 SEASON DATES / DEADLINES*

OCTOBER 1, 2024 - Start accepting Individual & Family toy requests, Nonprofit organization/agency toy requests, Toy Drop Site requests,   
                                  Volunteer Application requests,  Host a Toys For Tots Event request.  

DECEMBER 20, 2024 - Last day we will pick up toys from Drop Site Locations.

DECEMBER 16, 2024 - Last day we will participate in any Events.

DECEMBER 14, 2024 - Last day for late applications.

DECEMBER 23, 2024 - Last day of the 2024 season.

How can I request toys for a child/family in need?  Click the "Request A Toy" tab on the top menu bar for a list of approved non-profit organizations for toy distribution within your community, and contact one directly.

What kind of toy can I donate to the Toys for Tots program, and for what age groups?  We collect new, un-gift-wrapped toys, books, and stocking stuffers (preferably avoiding plush toys due to sanitary reasons) for age groups of newborn to 14+.

How can I donate new, unwrapped toys or books for a child in need?  Click the "Donate" tab on top of the menu bar and then click on "Toy Drop Off sites" for a list of registered/approved drop off site locations.

How can I register my nonprofit organization/agency to receive toys for distribution?  Click the "Request a Toy" tab on top of the menu bar and then click on "Agency and Non-Profit Request Form" and fill out the form that it directs you to.

How can I register to become a toy drop site?  Click the "Support the Program" tab on top of the menu bar and then click "Become A Toy Drop Site" and fill out the form that it directs you to.

How can I volunteer in support of the Fallon Toys For Tots program?  Click the "Support the Program" tab on top of the menu bar and then click "Sign up to Volunteer" and fill out the form that it directs you to.
